I was wondering why you blocked "aicosusha" or "ninja-ket-kat" I just recently became her friend and we discovered we were both fans of yours. She said she made gifs for you and then you blocked her for no reason. Now her gifs of your korraXtaho live stream are being claimed by other names. It just seems very out of character for both of you to block someone without reason. It just bothers me a bit and I wanted to get your side of the story.
__________

!???? We literally had no idea of this??? I’ll check our block list — but we NEVER meant for that to happen. If anything, sometimes Sheila accidentally blocks people when deleting messages (x or trashcan gets confusing) but she always goes back and undoes the block.

We never meant to and hold absolutely no conflict with either user! We love Ninja! We remember her in all our tinychat livestreams!!

So sorry to have cause any misfortune at all!

When was the last time the two of you have been in a group cosplay together with 3 or 5 or more people? Do the two of you ever cosplay in a group without the other? And if not, why?
__________

AWHILE ago.

We tend to avoid groups because our cosplay plans change sooo much. And we hate feeling obligated if we loose interest, or have to do something by a deadline. We also don’t want people depending on us. We have enough trouble with our own plans!

Why are you going blonde? I though you didn't like how your skin tone and blonde clashed? I like the blonde you have currently, are going lighter? Also, what happened to your eyebrows? D: I've noticed you've drawn them in alot in the past few months.
__________

I really want to!

I still think my skin and blonde hair clash. But I’m sick of letting my insecurities get in the way. So FUCK IT. I’m gonna try and be blonde.

They just don’t grow much anymore. Especially after my Jack cosplay. And they don’t grow in the shape I want anyway. So now I just maintain their thin-invisible ness. Its irratating, but also a blessing because I can draw whatever shape I want now.

Hey Aicosu! I wanted to ask, do you have any Anime recommendations? My boyfriend is slowly getting into anime and so far he likes the serious types; like he enjoyed Attack on Titan. I'm having trouble coming up with ones he'd like since I usually watch a lot of rom-com and slice of life anime. Any suggestions? Thank you!

CINEMATIC MILES MORALES COSPLAY

Yo! My name is Nikolas A. Draper-Ivey…This is cosplay as Cinematic Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider Man. This suit was made by
Jesse Covington ( Writer and Costume Designer) and sewn by Sasha Williams ( Fashion Major graduate). Photos were taken by Pierre BL Brevard I specifically would like to thank Marvel Comics Artist Sara Pichelli for designing this character. I’m also very excited to see Olivier Coipel's work on Spider-Verse!

(Full shoot will be shot in New York itself just in time for NYCC)

These are all beautiful, and some of them look like they could be Alex Ross paintings, love love love these.

MILLEESS!!! <333333333333333333333333

HOW TO COVER THICK EYEBROWS: Cosplay tutorial.

After my Uta cosplay I got a lot of questions on how I covered my eyebrows, mine are rather thick and a lot of people have trouble covering their eyebrows when they’re as thick as mine so here is my tutorial for you! This by no means the perfect way or right way, this is just what works for me.

MATERIALS: Glue stick, plastic knife, White powder, concealer, regular powder and face paint (optional)

  1. Get a gluestick, doesn’t matter the color. Cut of a big chunk of it and slap that sucker onto your brows, don’t worry it will wash out and not tear off your eyebrows. I’ve done this many times. Take a plastic knife or what ever tool you prefer and smooth the glue across your brows till they are fully covered. (I rushed so mine could have been blended better but eh whatever)
  2. You will want to get some white powder/makeup and cover your eyebrows where the glue is. I unfortunately ran out of my powder so I used white face paint instead for this, while it still works you’re MUCH better off with a white powder, it gives it a cleaner look.
  3. Time to use yo liquid concealer. Smother yo brows with concealer till no purple can be seen, I also used a little bit of pink facepaint to cover places where the purple stood out a lot.
  4. Now take your powder and whatever other makeup you use and BLEND IT ALL OVAH. You want to make it look as seamless as you can (Step one comes in VERY handy here, the better you blended the glue the better it will look at the end, I went back and blended my glue a little more.)

AND TA DAH! Now you’re an eyebrowless beautiful person.

DAAAMMNNN!

Paper Mache Tricks and Tips

chilmarkgryphon:

image

In the age of thermoplastics and resins paper mache seems a little unglamorous and low-tech, but I think it’s still worth considering as a material if you’re getting into prop and armor-making.  If you have low budget for your project but plenty of time in which to complete it, it’s worth considering.

Donate!

3 Days for Jessica Nigri, Monika Lee, and David Hsu. Thanks to Keeper Thief Cosplay who nominated us. We waited past the 24 hr mark to have the excuse to donate.  Every dollar counts guys.

No worries on the drought, Sheila re-used the water in the tub to wash out a hair mask on her bleached hair.

Hi you awesome folks, I asked a while back about treating craft foam armor before or after painting it. I just wanted to say, though I did my first piece [plated shoulder armor] wrong, I followed your advice for my bracers and they look so stunning and real and metallic. My costume will be amazing thanks to you. THANK YOU!!
__________

Ahhh congratulations!! While I’m glad we helped at all — I’m sure they look stunning because you yourself did them!!! :D

Sheila. why is it taking you 3 weeks to dye your hair blonde? Isn't dying your hair like a 15 minute thing? Just curious.
__________

No no no no! I’m not just dying it blonde — I’m bleaching it. Bleaching is harder than dying (you can only dye dark, you cant dye light) and its also extremely damaging to your hair.

I have to do it in stages because my hair is sooo black. And you gotta wait 2-3 weeks AT LEAST to give your hair a rest between bleachings. Going from black to gold blonde is definitely a process.
